Job Summary:
Zaxby’s is looking for a reliable, energetic, and motivated Shift Leader to join our team! As a Shift
Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations by supervising team members,
managing shifts, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for both opening
and closing the restaurant, assigning roles, delegating tasks, and helping lead our team to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the restaurant in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assign daily positions to team members and ensure proper coverage across all stations
- Delegate duties to team members to maintain productivity and efficiency during shifts
- Count and balance registers at the beginning and end of each shift
- Train and coach new and existing employees on Zaxby’s standards and procedures
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are maintained throughout operations
- Cook and prepare food as needed to meet customer demand and maintain service speed
- Assist customers with orders, concerns, or complaints to ensure a positive dining experience
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall restaurant appearance
- Communicate effectively with the management team and other shift leaders
- Lead by example and help create a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role (restaurant experience preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable handling money and using POS/register systems
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
