Day Porter / Cleaner (On-Call)

Position: Day Porter / Cleaner (On-Call)
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour (Part-Time / On-Call)

Summary:
This position involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming. This is an on-call position, meaning work hours may vary depending on the needs of the site. Candidates must be flexible and available for call-ins as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect and empty trash cans.

• Dust all surfaces (walls, furniture, and equipment).

• Clean and restock restrooms.

• Follow established cleaning procedures.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors.

• Perform routine maintenance activities.

• Clean and polish fixtures and furniture.

• Follow safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Notify management of needed repairs or maintenance.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Minimum six (6) months of janitorial or custodial experience preferred.

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

• Experience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers.

• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety guidelines.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work variable hours and respond to call-ins as needed.

Additional Requirements:

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
