Role Description The Mortgage Loan Originator is a full-time, on-site position based in Conway, AR. This role is responsible for generating and managing residential mortgage loan applications, including meeting with prospective borrowers, explaining loan products, and guiding clients through the entire lending process. Day-to-day tasks include assessing borrower eligibility, collecting and reviewing financial documentation, preparing loan files for underwriting, and coordinating with processors, underwriters, and closing agents to ensure timely and accurate closings. Qualifications
- Experience with Loan Origination and Mortgage Lending, including structuring residential loan products and guiding borrowers through the application process.
- Knowledge of Underwriting principles and practices, with the ability to prepare complete and accurate loan files for credit and risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of Loans and Finance, including debt-to-income ratios, credit analysis, interest rates, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills with borrowers, real estate partners, and internal team members.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems and standard office software; comfort working with digital documentation and compliance tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Valid mortgage loan originator license (or eligibility to obtain one) in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
