Duties
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals across all retail channels
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team to ensure high performance and professional development
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, customer service, and product knowledge
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising to optimize store presentation and stock levels
- Oversee store operations including shift management, cash handling, cashiering, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure smooth daily functioning
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff while maintaining a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement
- Monitor retail math metrics such as sales per square foot, average transaction value, and conversion rates to inform strategic decisions
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and boost sales performance
- Handle customer service issues with professionalism and resolve conflicts effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and team management
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, POS technology, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
- Skilled in retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with merchandising, stock replenishment, marketing campaigns, and store operations management
- Leadership qualities that inspire teams through coaching, supervision, and motivating staff toward shared goals
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store environments is a plus but not required
