The Role
Money Desk Manager leads a specialized operations team that works with and supports firm’s advisors and clients with requests related to money movement and other specialized back-office tasks. This person leads and oversees the team’s activity in processing requests such as distributions, wire transfers, ACH, cost basis inquiries, account transfers, trade orders, and similar operational tasks. The manager is responsible for ensuring completion of work within established service level agreements, integration of new processes and procedures, and increasing efficiency.
Manger is also responsible for risk prevention, compliant processing of money movements and other requests, and education of employees and internal/external stakeholders on policies and procedures..
Essential Job Functions, other duties assigned
Lead and supervise team members, set performance goals, oversee workload allocation, maintain timely completion of tasks within established service level agreements, and foster a positive and motivated work environment.
Analyze and improve existing processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and advisor satisfaction.
Develop, implement, and maintain departmental procedures. Ensure that operational activities and their procedures comply with relevant firm and industry policies.
Handle escalated calls when warranted and resolve issues by taking appropriate action quickly in a high-risk environment.
Work closely with other department leaders to align operational strategies.
Participate and/or lead strategic initiatives and projects.

Experience and Education
Experience:
2 years of prior management experience required
4 years of working directly with a broker-dealer, RIA, or insurance organization.
4 years experience in Client Service or Operations with Brokerage/Financial Industry
Education:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of related education and experience and/or training.
Licensing:
Series 6 or 7 required within first 6 months of employment and Series 65/66 preferred but not required
