We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Contract Private Investigator to assist with surveillance, information gathering, and case support. This is a flexible, as-needed role ideal for experienced investigators or motivated individuals looking to grow in the field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and document activities accurately
- Prepare clear, detailed, and court-ready reports
- Perform background checks and locate individuals (skip tracing)
- Gather evidence through legal and ethical methods
- Communicate updates and findings in a timely manner
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all cases
Qualifications
- Previous investigative, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgment calls
- Strong observation and report-writing skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Flexible availability (including evenings/weekends when needed)
- Must be able to pass background screening
Requirements
- Must meet eligibility requirements under the Texas Department of Public Safety (Private Security Program)
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Smartphone and basic computer skills required
