About the role
This job involves skilled, independent work on aerial construction and repairs. You will solve problems on the job, estimate and manage work, climb poles, and load or unload equipment and materials.
What you’ll do
- Read blueprints and drawings to plan repairs or pole transfers.
- Cut, assemble, and install cables, mounts, arms, bonds, and guy wires.
- Install and maintain fiber, cable, and phone equipment.
- Find and fix problems quickly.
- Set, move, and remove utility poles.
- Follow City and DOT rules, like pre-trip checks and vehicle reports.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and in good condition.
- Fill out paperwork completely for invoicing.
- Load materials into trucks as needed.
- Do other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CDL strongly preferred.
- Experience in aerial construction or the telecom trade.
- Able to operate or work near heavy equipment and machinery.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Basic knowledge of safe operation of utility equipment and tools.
- Valid driver’s license, or be willing to get one if needed.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
