Integrity Import Service is accepting applications for a full time Service Advisor. We are open from 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. No weekends – EVER. We service late model imports and domestics. This includes all aspects of auto repair performed on cars and light duty trucks.
Established in 2013, Integrity Import Service has an outstanding reputation with a focus on quality, competence, and capability. This is reflected in shop appearance, diagnostic approach, tools used, parts used, and work sold. Service is provided to domestic and import cars and light trucks, predominately OBDII and newer model years. Drivability, electrical, safety, and maintenance are our primary emphases. Most services are performed in-house in order to maintain our high standards of quality. Advanced technology is utilized to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. This is a shop where "done correctly" is emphasized over "done".
Job Description – Automotive Service Advisor
An automotive service writer serves as the liaison between a technician team and customers. Automotive service writer job duties and responsibilities ensure that customers receive the best possible service and that technicians can focus on making necessary repairs. They handle everything from obtaining initial information from the customer to determining and communicating repair costs. In addition, they act as an advocate for customers, helping to eliminate unnecessary delays. Should complaints arise, the automotive service writer works to resolve them.
Because automotive service writers are usually the first and last team member that customers talk to, they play a major role in determining customer satisfaction. To deliver the best possible experience for a customer, they usually have a wide variety of duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Listening to customers describe auto problems
- Asking follow-up questions to help diagnose issues
- Entering customer information into a database
- Tracking the progress of each job
- Compiling work estimates from technicians and communicating them to the customer
- Answering customers’ questions regarding the nature of repairs and their costs
- Billing the customer or accepting payment when the job is complete
- Communicating with customers about their concerns and needs regarding their vehicles
- Coordinating with and selling to customers preventive maintenance and repairs for their vehicles based on manufacturer recommendations as tailored to each vehicle to support long vehicle life and customer satisfaction
- Clearly communicating to technicians what is to be addressed (serviced, tested, etc.)
- Preparing and presenting reports and estimates and clearly communicating to customers the results of inspections and testing as presented in estimates as well as repair results
- Keeping paperwork in order and flowing properly in office
- Scheduling appointments and controlling work flow in shop
- Ordering and returning parts for work sold
- Maintaining inventory of small parts
- Maintaining Vendor Accounts
- Tracking maintenance and coordinating loaners and other company owned vehicles
- Light Cleaning of Office as needed
- Performing Final Quality Control Inspection and Test Drive
Service Advisor Qualifications:
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must possess the skills to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
- Must be self-motivated and willing to learn
- Must have reliable attendance and be willing to work
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and Office programs
- Demonstratable Proficiency of basic computer operation
All candidates would preferably have at least two years of verifiable hands-on experience in the areas of Automotive Service Advisor / Service Consultant employment and familiarity with Mitchell management or other point of sale automotive oriented software. Candidates would preferably be able to prove focused experience in the areas of customer service and computer skills. However, training and on-the-job support is provided so there is flexibility in the preferred experience requirements. Some automotive knowledge is ideal. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Superior organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are required for this position. Additionally, willingness to continually expand capability through dedication to ongoing education, and willingness to accept input, is required. A good driving record and current driver's license is non-negotiable.
Pay for all positions, is negotiable and dependent upon experience and verifiable qualifications. Pay plan includes holiday pay, paid time off, and 401k. Medical / Dental Insurance is available. Uniforms and safety equipment are provided. Base pay range is 40k – 52k per year Commissions / Bonus structure.
