The Client Account Specialist oversees all financial transactions for residential clients at Integrity’s Secaucus location. This role is responsible for accurately managing all client funds entering or leaving the facility and ensuring that all related spreadsheets, records, and documentation are maintained with precision and in full compliance with program requirements.

This is a non-exempt, part-time position totaling 21 hours per week. Typical available work hours are Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. There is some flexibility in scheduling; however, the employee must work a total of 21 hours per week and maintain a consistent schedule within the available hours.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of a Client Account Specialist

  • Receive, record, and disburse client funds.
  • Maintain all residential client accounts and process all cash-related transactions, including AfterCare funds disbursements.
  • Keep accurate records of monies received and paid, including house fees, deposits, copayments, fundraising proceeds, and other client-related transactions.
  • Prepare and process weekly bank deposits to PNC, Wells Fargo, and Haven accounts.
  • Reconcile clients’ checking accounts monthly.
  • Calculate monthly meal billing for vendor clients.
  • Prepare and process requests for checks or money orders for clients’ birth certificates in coordination with the Entitlement Specialist.
  • Collect, track, and maintain Halfway House clients’ savings transactions, house fees, and fines.
  • Process discharged clients’ requests to retrieve remaining cash balances and/or stored debit cards.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and documentation for all financial activities.
  • Perform additional supportive tasks for the Finance Department as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications for a Client Account Specialist:

Education and Experience:

  • 2 – 5 years of experience in a banking or financial setting
  • Basic understanding of principles of finance, bookkeeping, and accounting

Specialized Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based tools, including the ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment and phone systems.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail when working with numbers.
  • Solid basic math skills and the ability to compare, analyze, and reconcile accounts.
  • Strong customer service and positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and staff in a professional and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
