Job Description
Responsibilities:
- See patients of all ages with a high volume, approximately 30 patients per day
- Interpret test results and provide urgent evaluation and treatment for potentially critically ill patients
- Transport patients to the closest Emergency Department as needed
Clinical Skills:
- Reading basic x-rays of all body parts
- Laceration repair and wound care
- Initial ECG interpretation
- Interpreting test results
Shift Schedule:
- Open 363 days a year
- Scheduled hours: 35 hours per week
- Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Holiday hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Shift Types:
- 12-hour weekday shifts
- 10-hour weekend shifts
On-Site Equipment:
- EKG POCT
- Hospital Radiation Department
- CT Department
Common Diagnoses:
- Abdominal pain
- Flu
- Musculoskeletal pain/injury
- Shortness of breath
- Upper respiratory infection
