Dietary Cook
We are looking for Dietary Cook at our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Anna IL.
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dietary Manager, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual needs.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed.
- Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, focusing on nutritional value.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to meet the dietary requirements of residents.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred.
- Must have a sanitation/food handlers certificate or be willing to obtain before starting
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds
