Job Summary
We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our repair shop team. In this role, you will use advanced computer diagnostic tools and hands-on expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy and light-duty diesel trucks, equipment and machinery. This is a fast-paced position for a problem-solver who takes pride in delivering top-quality mechanical work and keeping our customers safely back on the road.
Duties
- Provide routine maintenance such as change oil, replace filters, rotate tires, and monitor fluid levels.
- Use computer diagnostic and scan tools to find engine, electrical, or emissions issues.
- Repair or replace broken components or systems.
- Test-drive vehicles or run machinery to make sure repairs work correctly.
- Collaborate effectively with shop staff and customers to ensure high-quality repairs and clear communication.
- Demonstrate time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
Experience
- Diesel mechanic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate who possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a great work ethic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and servicing.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking for custom repairs or modifications.
- Knowledge of equipment operation along with the ability to perform adjustments, repairs, and services.
