What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doctors Office Assistant position at Integrity Chiropractic of Mt. Sterling?
As the doctor's office assistant, you will be working to advance our patients' healing from pain to wellness. It's a non-rigid workplace. We give you the guidelines, and you take charge. Our industrial working hours, about 5 hours of your 8-9 hour working day is movement on your feet. This activity is then balanced with the non-industrial time that allows you to perform administrative tasks. We prefer an applicant who has no medical experience at all, so that we can train you accordingly, because chiropractic is unlike any other allopathic career.
It's a skill, time management, and it's personal. Our patients are great and grateful!
Am I right for this job?
Would your friends describe your personality as smart, caring, social, and good with computers? If you said yes to all, of these traits, then we want to meet and interview you. Another aspect of the job is managing an inventory of durable medical equipment, such as back braces, tens units, and goods that must be tracked through a government agency. This attention to detail is not a major aspect of the job, but is required.
At times, you will be asked to introduce our gym and show patients healthier ways to live. No heavy lifting of patients is required, but you will need to be able to, at times, get on the floor and show exercises to patients or instruct them on how to use a back brace.
The doctor also requires daily errands in and around our community to various doctors' offices, where he coordinates care with. You may be asked from time to time to visit these offices and sprinkle your magic pixy dust upon the various offices and their staff that coordinate care with our injury and well clinic. The job has many routine tasks that are upbeat, happy, and organized, which allows you a 3-day weekend and most holidays off. It is full-time, but at times when the doctor has continuing education, it is part-time, allowing you time to take time for yourself and your family.
