INTEGRIS is looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to our engineering community with a passion for new product development, problem solving and exceeding expectations. Opportunities exist in our world class engineering group working across a wide range of industries. This position would be based in East Peoria IL.

A qualified candidate does not have to meet all of the experiences listed here, an aptitude to learn is the number one qualification.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
BS in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, Agricultural, etc.) is required, Master’s degree in engineering is a plus.
Strong basic Mechanical Engineering skills with good grasp of ME fundamentals (statics, dynamics, machine components, structures, FBD, etc.)
Ability to think conceptually and understand the appropriate level of detail to create in models (CAD, abstract engineering models, engineering spreadsheets, FE models, etc.) in order to solve problems.
Top-Down design techniques in CAD
Design Engineer must display strong mechanical aptitude, creativity, project management, communication and strong analytical skills.
Interest in becoming a structural engineer is a plus with additional opportunities to grow.
PROJECTS AND TASKS
- Problem solving through definition, concepting, development, and prototyping.
- Free body diagrams, stress predictions and general component sizing
- Design reviews with recommendations
- Aerospace, automotive, mobile equipment and other system design
- Design for manufacturability and collaboration with manufacturers
- Creative thinking to challenge the status quo and work diligently toward common goals of the project.
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY
- SolidWorks Tools (SolidWorks, SW Simulation, SW Routing, etc.)
- PTC Tools (Pro/Engineer, Pro/Harness, Pro/Mechanica, Creo, etc.)
- Autodesk Tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
- Product Data Management Systems (ePDM, Teamcenter, Vault, etc)
- MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Bonus:
- MSC Patran/NASTRAN, ANSYS Classic, Hypermesh, ABAQUS or comparable tools are preferred.
- ANSYS Workbench, Mechanica or SolidWorks Simulation will also be considered.
