Integrative Psychology Services (IPS) in Livingston, NJ, is currently seeking passionate and dedicated psychiatrist to join our esteemed group practice on a part-time basis. IPS is a thriving group private practice established in 2006, providing exceptional psychological services to the adult population across New Jersey.

We are excited to expand our team and welcome talented professionals who are licensed in the state of New Jersey as a psychiatrist. We are looking for a psychiatrist to serve as a medical director and play a vital role in establishing our psychiatric program. In addition, the psychiatrist will work alongside our team of 35 clinicians which includes psychologists, licensed clinical social workers and provisionally licensed clinicians most of whom carry full caseloads of individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy patients. Earnings will be commensurate with the number of patients seen and income generated.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist to join our team and serve as our medical director. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support. This role involves working with diverse populations, including seniors aging in the community and patients of all ages presenting with a variety of mental health issues. The Psychiatrist will utilize both in-person and telehealth methods to ensure accessible patient care.

Duties

  • Serve as a Medical Director and play a leadership role in developing a psychiatric program
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.
  • Provide therapy and counseling to patients dealing with various mental health conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness while managing potential side effects.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Offer specialized care in geriatrics and support for patients with developmental disabilities.
  • Engage in addiction counseling and PTSD care as part of a holistic treatment approach.
  • Participate in telehealth services to enhance patient accessibility.

Skills
