We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant / Chiropractic Assistant to join our thriving clinic in Annandale, VA. This is a unique opportunity to work in an exciting integrative healthcare environment that combines chiropractic care, spinal decompression therapy, and regenerative osteoarthritis treatment programs.
Our clinic is a licensed Center of Excellence utilizing the Advanced Arthritis Relief Protocol™ — a non-surgical alternative designed to help patients suffering from chronic knee pain associated with Osteoarthritis regain mobility and improve quality of life.
We are looking for someone who is personable, charismatic, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients feel their best. Sales and customer service experience are highly valued, as building patient relationships and guiding patients through care plans is a major part of this role.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient assessments, examinations, and therapeutic procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness between patients
- Record patient vitals, symptoms, and physician notes
- Assist with decompression therapy and therapeutic equipment
- Set up and monitor patients using modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, SoftWave/Shockwave therapies, and decompression equipment
- Educate patients on treatment plans, wellness strategies, and home exercises
- Provide compassionate patient care and support during office visits
- Sterilize and maintain clinical equipment and instruments
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
Administrative & Front Desk Duties
- Answer phones and return patient calls
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance information and collect patient information
- Assist with prior authorizations and communication with billing departments
- Maintain organized patient files and electronic records
- Manage office inventory and stock medical supplies
- Coordinate patient referrals with outside offices
Marketing & Business Development
- Follow up with prospective patients and leads from our CRM system
- Schedule consultations and follow-up appointments
- Assist with patient retention and customer service
- Support marketing initiatives and community outreach
- Help collect patient testimonials and assist with social media content
- Conduct patient follow-up calls after initial treatments
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of clinical and administrative medical tasks
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous chiropractic, medical, or healthcare experience
- Sales, marketing, or customer relations experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience with patient scheduling software or CRM systems
- Social media and digital marketing familiarity
