Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Physical Therapy Practice Manager to oversee and implement the daily operations of our outpatient physical therapy clinic. Skills should include billing knowledge, knowledge and use of EMR systems, ability to delegate and a willingness to assist in day to day staff responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is extremely detailed oriented with an ability to multi task. Other responsibilities include following and auditing financial transactions and managing patient's schedules with the help of other staff. The candidate should be good humored, communicative with ownership and be self regulated in terms of arriving and leaving at reported times and have an ability to direct others for improved efficiency. This is a hands on position. We need a dynamo at the helm We are a small but vibrant practice and would like to get to know you.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient scheduling, billing, and administrative support
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing training and performance evaluations
- Manage and explain financial aspects such as patient benefits, outstanding bills etc.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with medical providers to ensure proper Plan of Care receipt.
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR system
- Implement policies for medical office management and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Oversee human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, and staff development and clinician schedules.
- Manage clinic supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships
- Facilitate communication between clinical teams and external healthcare entities
- Monitor quality assurance metrics to uphold standards of care and operational efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management within a healthcare setting such as physical therapy or outpatient clinics
- Strong supervisory skills
- Expertise in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a healthcare environment
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Familiarity with healthcare management practices including utilization management and managed care processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical administrative support tasks
- Ability to navigate complex medical terminology and ensure compliance
- Experience in human resources functions such as staffing and employee development
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, patients, and external partners
