Duties
Lead the overall management of the dental clinic, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to maximize efficiency.
Oversee fiscal management by budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and expense control to ensure profitability and sustainability.
Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, and OSHA requirements.
Manage electronic practice management software to maintain accurate records and streamline documentation processes.
Oversee dental administrative support functions including appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, managed care coordination, and billing.
Maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety protocols, and clinical operations aligned with healthcare management best practices.
Handle human resources responsibilities such as hiring, training, conflict resolution, and staff development to build a motivated team dedicated to excellent patient care.
Monitor practice performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience managing a dental or medical office with strong knowledge of dental clinic operations.
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading clinical or administrative teams in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with practice management software, with a preference for Open Dental.
Understanding of fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing procedures, and managed care processes.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance, OSHA guidelines, and medical records management.
Experience working with dental terminology is highly desirable.
Background in human resources functions including staff recruitment, training programs, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
