Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installer with experience in mounting, cabling, and installing audio/visual and network systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, the ability to work with various tools and materials, and a willingness to travel to job sites, as well as travel across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and mount TVs, computer equipment, and network hardware
- Run, terminate, and test Category 5 (Cat5) and Category 6 (Cat6) cabling
- Perform cable management, including punching down patch panels and creating patch cables
- Install and connect speakers, amplifiers, and other audio/visual equipment
- Mount and install equipment racks on walls or floors
- Install wireless antennas and related networking components
- Run speaker wires and network cables through walls, ceilings, and other structures
- Measure, cut, and mount wooden boards or backing for equipment installation
- Safely operate power tools, including drills and mounting equipment
- Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and industry standards
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in A/V and network equipment installation
- Strong knowledge of Cat5 and Cat6 cabling standards and best practices
- Experience with mounting hardware, racks, and structured cabling systems
- Proficiency with power tools and construction-related tasks (drilling, cutting, mounting)
- Ability to read basic technical diagrams and installation plans
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and install equipment
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Contractor's license preferred but a candidate without one can operate under Company's license
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to job sites
- Ability to travel to various states and stay overnight for weekly project completion as needed
Work Environment:
- Field-based role working at various commercial and/or residential job sites
- May require working on ladders, in tight spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
Salary
25.00 to 32.00 dollars/hr
