We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Mapping Analyst to support our team in creating, maintaining, and analyzing high-quality geographic maps and spatial datasets. This fully remote position is ideal for someone with strong GIS mapping experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a digital environment.
The GIS Mapping Analyst will work closely with project managers, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver accurate and visually effective geospatial products.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain high-quality maps for internal and external use.
- Collect, clean, and organize spatial data from a variety of sources.
- Perform geoprocessing tasks such as buffering, clipping, dissolving, merging, spatial joins, and topology checks.
- Convert raw data into polished mapping outputs (static maps, web maps, dashboards).
- Update and maintain GIS layers, metadata, and map services.
- Generate map layouts, labels, symbology, and cartographic elements that follow best design practices.
- Collaborate with teams to understand mapping needs and provide geospatial solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and QA/QC of all geospatial data products.
- Assist in preparing reports, map packages, and GIS documentation.
- Support the development of web-based GIS applications (ArcGIS Online or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or QGIS.
- Strong understanding of cartography, map design, and spatial data workflows.
- Familiarity with vector and raster data formats (Shapefile, GeoJSON, TIFF, KML, etc.).
- Ability to perform standard GIS mapping and editing tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
