Job Title: Flow Controller
Duration: 06 Months
Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Tualatin, OR 97062
Pay Rate: $41.00/Hour on W2 (Without benefits)
Position Overview:
- In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a continuous and efficient flow of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies to support production operations.
- You will manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across purchasing and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a continuous flow of incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
- Manage supplier contacts and networks using the Supply Side Platform Portal (purchasing database).
- Oversee the replenishment backlog, including the creation and rescheduling of purchase orders.
- Coordinate Open Purchase Order (PO) Management and Order Scheduling.
- Manage the upstream backorder portfolio and component shortages to ensure material availability.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance using established KPIs; collaborate with suppliers on late orders and confirmation details.
- Take daily action on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages and escalate recurring issues as needed.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Short Interval Management (SIM).
Qualifications:
Education:
- Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent experience and skills).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is desirable.
- Experience performing cost analysis, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Technical Skills:
- Proficient computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
- ERP experience (SAP preferred).

- Strong understanding of upstream supply chain processes — including planning, forecasting, strategy, and material flow.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- ERP experience (SAP preferred); system training can be provided for other platforms.
