Job Title: Senior Principal Electrical Engineer
Location: Round Lake, IL 60073 (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $79.85/hr on W2 (No Benefits)
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite
Shift: 1st Shift | Flexible 8 AM–5 PM
Travel: Up to 5% nationwide
We are looking for an experienced Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join a leading medical device organization developing next-generation infusion systems that help save and sustain patient lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and development for advanced infusion system products.
- Design analog/digital circuits, embedded microcontroller systems, and FPGA-based electronics.
- Develop and analyze schematics, PCB layouts, and system architectures.
- Drive EMI/EMC/ESD compliant product development for safety-critical applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
- Support testing, validation, troubleshooting, and product transition to manufacturing.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to innovative medical device solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 15 years of Electrical/Electronics Engineering experience.
- Strong background in electromechanical hardware development.
- Experience with embedded systems, analog/digital design, PCB design, and EMI/EMC testing.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer, LabVIEW, Matlab, and electronic testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI, AIM, and ASTM standards.
- Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
- Prior infusion pump or sensing subsystem experience is highly desirable.
