Job Title: Facilities Technician
Location: Boulder, CO (Onsite, On-call required)
Duration: 6-month contract (possible extension)
Pay: $35.00/hr on W2 without benefits
Role Overview
Seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination in a commercial/lab environment. This role requires strong technical skills and ownership of issues from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform facility maintenance & MEP (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) troubleshooting
- Monitor building systems (BMS/BAS) and respond to alarms
- Coordinate vendors and oversee repairs/maintenance
- Manage work orders, inspections, and campus upkeep
- Support lab operations and participate in on-call rotation
Must-Have
- 5β7 years of commercial/industrial facilities maintenance (no residential)
- Hands-on experience with tools and repairs
- Experience with MEP systems and troubleshooting
- Vendor/contractor coordination experience
Nice to Have
- Lab or biotech environment experience
- BMS/CMMS system knowledge
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable with on-call and off-hours support
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
Salary : $30 - $35
