What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Facilitator position at INTEGRATED WELLNESS SOLUTIONS?
Under the direction of the Mental Health Director, the Group Facilitator will conduct individual and group counseling sessions, creating treatment plans, and collaborating with other therapists and group facilitators. This position includes an additional 5% weekend differential.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS
REPORTS TO: Mental Health Director
SUPERVISES: None
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Triages and conducts intakes, evaluations and/or assessments on assigned youth
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address personal, social, and mental health needs
- Deliver crisis intervention and prevention programs on issues such as drug and alcohol abuse
- Regularly report to the Mental Health Director on the Youths progress and challenges
- Work with Youth to develop skills, such as organizational and time management abilities, habits, strengths, interests, and talents.
- Recommends and provides treatment plans, such as other non-pharmacological treatments or services such as group or individual therapy, when appropriate, for persons served on his/her caseload and in all areas of the correctional facility with regular updates when needed
Upon receiving the necessary training and/or instruction, perform other related duties as required or assigned.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience providing treatment to adults and/or youth with various mental health disabilities required, experience with Crisis/Risk Management, advanced knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, discharge planning and excellent documentation skills. Work experience can be considered in lieu of education requirement.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Current CPR Certification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
