We are currently looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to fabricate and assemble standard and custom material handling products and systems including receiving and shipping of component orders and finished assemblies. Maintains / repairs material handling equipment and systems, shop equipment & ISD facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricates and assemblies material handling components, including mechanical & electrical assemblies, following supplied sketches, prints, descriptions or other appropriate instructions
- Repairs or replaces faulty mechanical & electrical components following warranty or non-warranty replacement procedures as applicable
- Travels as required to assemble / install / repair material handling equipment
- Maintains records of all work and completes all necessary paperwork or computer entries associated with documenting their activity
- Maintains tools and machinery in clean, fully functional and safe condition
- Maintains shop area in clean, organized, neat and safe condition
- Maintains and tracks parts and tool inventory supplied by the company
- Receives and stores inventory and goods; also properly packs and ships goods as required
- Prepares requisitions or other documents for purchasing new or additional inventory items and shop supplies
- Performs some routine building maintenance activities as requested
