Job Title: Business Analyst III – Financial Systems
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET, with one-hour lunch (40 hours/week), 1 year contract
Pay Rate: $70/hr
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support complex treasury and financial operations, including cash management, student financial aid disbursements, centralized tuition and fee collections, and integration with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger systems. The role is critical for ensuring accurate payment dispatch, reconciliations, and month-, quarter-, and year-end closing activities within a multi-business unit environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide production support for PeopleSoft Financials (Cash Management, General Ledger, AR, AP, Expenses), troubleshooting issues and resolving time-sensitive tickets.
Monitor payment dispatch processes for ACH and wire transactions, analyzing and resolving issues that may delay critical payments.
Support reconciliations for ZBA accounts and Book-to-Bank processes to ensure timely closing activities.
Document functional specifications, test cases, and system changes, and train users on new processes or enhancements.
Assist with 1099 reporting, semi-manual reconciliations, and other treasury accounting functions.
Ensure thorough documentation of incidents, configurations, and resolutions for knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Mandatory Qualifications:
At least 8 years of PeopleSoft Financials experience, including Cash Management, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Expenses modules.
Experience with bank integrations, including Financial Gateway, ACH, and wire formats.
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, treasury accounting, and payment dispatch processes.
Ability to quickly troubleshoot rejected payment files and resolve production issues.
Proficiency with PeopleSoft 9.2, Microsoft Office, Oracle products, Tumbleweed, and related enterprise financial systems.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in multi-business unit financial environments.
Strong documentation and communication skills for business and functional requirements.
Ability to mentor or train internal staff and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Daily use of PeopleSoft 9.2, Oracle RAC, Microsoft Office products, Tumbleweed, and related financial systems.
