Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Energetics Wargamer and Operations Analyst Professional to support IHD’s energetics material systems and operations analysis efforts. The professional will conduct initial operational and technology-based analysis to identify relevant wargame scenarios, potential partners, and analyze gaps in energetics technology. This role involves developing operationally relevant vignettes, performing post-wargame analysis, and providing recommendations for technology development, business decisions, and supporting operational warfighting gaps.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Technology-Based Analysis:
-
Conduct initial analysis of IHD’s energetic material system capabilities to identify and document relevant wargame scenarios.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential wargame partners.
-
Provide periodic updates on progress as requested.

Wargame Scenario Development:
-
Develop operationally relevant wargame scenarios focused on energetic mission areas, addressing real-world warfighter issues.

Identify energetics technology development gaps, business case decisions, and operational warfighting gaps through the wargame scenarios.

Post-Wargame Analysis:

Perform post-wargame analysis to assess outcomes and refine NSWC IHD energetics concepts.

Support the development of potential expanded customer bases for energetics solutions.

Plan, facilitate, and perform analysis of at least one wargame scenario, with additional scenarios as required.

Reporting & Documentation:

Report on wargame plans and analysis outcomes in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) A006.

Document wargame results, identifying key findings and actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:

Required:
-
Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in operational analysis, wargaming, or energetics-related fields.

Education: Master’s degree in Operations Research, Management Science, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.

Security Clearance: Top Secret (TS) security clearance required.

Military Experience: Former military experience, particularly related to warfighting concepts and energetic systems.

Technical Expertise: Experience in explosives, munitions testing, or materials science.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with energetics technology development and wargaming methodologies.
