Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Floater for Light Maintenance and Construction Clean-up to join our team. This role provides essential support across multiple cleaning and light maintenance tasks, ensuring that facilities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to upholding safety protocols while delivering exceptional service.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across different areas.
- Support construction clean-up activities by removing trash, construction devris and unwanted material from work areas
- Loading, unloading , moving, and organizing tools, materials, equipment, and supplioes.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures.
- Lift heavy objects safely following proper lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and support facilities maintenance efforts.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with non-technical tasks and general labor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in general labor, light Maintenance, construction assistance, custodial work or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with common hand tools and the ability to use them safely for simple repairs and installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, carry, push and pull materials and equipment as required. and manual handling tasks safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb and work in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and facility maintenance standards.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to various cleaning and light maintenance duties as needed.
