Job Title: RN – ACCU (Acute Care / Critical Care Unit)
Location: Moreno Valley, CA
Shift: Days – 3 × 12-hour shifts
Duration: 14 Weeks
Local Pay: $65 per hour
Traveler Pay: $2,700–$3,000 weekly gross

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an ACCU position in Moreno Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will have recent acute-care ICU experience, strong critical care nursing skills, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The selected traveler must be flexible to float to ICU, ED, and PACU to care for ICU patients, as well as provide care to full ICU patients in the ED and designated 2500 and 3100 units.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and physician orders.

• Prepare patients for medical treatments, examinations, diagnostic tests, and procedures.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments and monitor patient responses.

• Document nursing care, patient progress, and significant changes in condition accurately.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

• Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and appropriate healthcare practices.

• Coordinate patient care throughout hospitalization, including discharge planning and post-hospital care arrangements.

• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.

• Assist with clinical procedures, including conscious sedation, as required and within scope of practice.

• Support quality assurance initiatives and contribute to a safe patient-care environment.

• Float to designated units, including ICU, ED, and PACU, based on facility needs and assignment requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum 5 years of recent ICU RN experience in an acute-care facility.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification from an accepted provider.

• Conscious sedation experience.

• Ability to work night shifts and float between designated hospital units.

• Strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, and patient-care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification – highly preferred.

• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience – highly preferred.

• Previous experience caring for critically ill patients in ICU, ED, and PACU settings.

Schedule

• Shift: Nights

• Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week

• Contract: 14 weeks

• Floating: ICU, ED, PACU, and designated 2500 and 3100 units, according to facility needs.
