Job Title: PSC Registration Clerk
Location: Hilliard, OH
Duration: 5 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: EST | Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused PSC Registration Clerk to support front office operations within a Patient Service Center (PSC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient registrations, data entry, insurance-related processes, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position may require support across multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously.
- Assist patients with kiosk sign-in and verify registration accuracy.
- Contact clients and healthcare providers to obtain patient orders and required documentation.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Perform data entry, filing, faxing, mail preparation, and other clerical duties.
- Answer incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner.
- Follow established procedures for documenting and escalating customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and assist with stocking supplies.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Complete all mandatory training requirements.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.
- Demonstrate organizational values and commitment to excellent patient care.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Experience in healthcare, medical offices, registration, or front-desk environments is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data entry, keyboarding, and general PC experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is helpful but not required.
