Title: Medical Lab Scientist/ Technologist
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Duration: 2-3 Months (Possibility of Extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: 1st Shift – 40hrs/week
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Process specimens and perform analyses using approved testing procedures.
- Release test results, ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
- Maintain quality control records, document all testing activities, and follow corrective action protocols when necessary.
- Report critical results, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure a clean and organized lab environment.
- Participate in training and safety programs and assist with regulatory inspections as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
- Experience: 1 year of clinical laboratory experience with high complexity testing (preferred).
- Certifications: State of National MLT Certification is required.
