Job Title: Lab Support AssociateLocation: San Diego, CADuration: 4 Months (Possible Extension)Pay range: $22.00 - $24.00/hr. on w2Key Responsibilities:Receive and open incoming clinical packages and prepare orders for processing.Verify and match requisitions with specimens and related documentation.Accession patient orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) with a high degree of accuracy.Identify and flag incomplete, missing, or inconsistent information, and communicate with appropriate staff (e.g., Client Services, laboratory personnel) to resolve issues.Perform routine clerical tasks to support laboratory operations, including filing, document organization, and maintaining logs and records.Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines).Assist with additional administrative and support tasks as directed by laboratory management.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or GED required.Experience:1–2 years of data entry or clerical experience preferred.Prior experience in a medical, clinical, or laboratory setting is a plus but not required.Key Skills and Competencies:Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and speed.High attention to detail, especially when handling patient information and specimen data.Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, repetitive work environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks and systems simultaneously.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented setting.Basic computer literacy and familiarity with data entry software; experience with LIS or EMR systems is a plus.Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.#sczr2
