Job Description

Position: ETL Test Engineer

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of going permanent)
Location: Glen Allen, VA, 23060-9297

**ETL test related experience is a must have!

Responsible for designing and executing tests on components, features, or feature area. Will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Will lead test design discussions and test reviews.

Responsibilities:

· Review system level requirements with agile team members

· Identify scope of work, provide estimates

· Demonstrate understanding of agile software development lifecycle and deliverables

· Engage in technical discussions, designs and present technical ideas through white boarding

· Execute in a fast paced delivery mode, delivering on tasks to meet the product release goal

· Maintain product quality through testing best practices, design techniques and automation

· Seek and provide feedback on test designs and execution

· Understand the whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while developing expertise in assigned modules

· Develop domain knowledge and show great customer focus

· Articulate need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing

· Assess application performance and optimize it with performance test techniques and tools

· Understand core data structures and algorithms and test from an ETL perspective

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM”
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development & testing •
• Willing to work out of an office in Glen Allen, VA
• Strong experience with mainstream ETL tools (Talend, ab Initio, Informatica, SSIS, etc.) and ETL design patterns
• Familiarity Selenium with Java or Java script
• Knowledge of Relational Database modeling and concepts (SQL, referential integrity, etc.)
• Experience with Relational Database Systems such as Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus
