Job Title: R&D Build Coordinator
Location: Bothell, WA
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension)
Job Summary
The R&D Build Coordinator leads end-to-end coordination of prototype and pilot build activities for advanced ultrasound platforms. This role ensures readiness across materials, tooling, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to support efficient product development and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Build Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage detailed build plans and schedules in collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program teams
- Conduct pre-build readiness reviews and drive risk mitigation
Line & Infrastructure Setup
- Coordinate setup of prototype and pilot production lines, including layout, tooling, and material flow
- Ensure production cells are fully configured and operational
Materials Preparation
- Ensure availability of BOM components, long-lead items, and ECO updates
- Validate material kits and manage shortages or expedites
Tooling & Equipment Readiness
- Verify readiness of tooling, fixtures, calibration equipment, and test systems
- Ensure alignment of software/firmware with build configurations
Build Execution
- Lead daily build activities as the primary point of contact
- Track progress against schedules, escalate issues, and ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards
Documentation & Issue Tracking
- Capture build metrics and results; document deviations and engineering changes
- Resolve issues using RCA/8D methodologies and generate post-build reports
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvements and support transition from R&D to pilot/production
- Develop and standardize build coordination processes
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Vocational Education
- 5 years of experience in R&D, engineering lab, or related environment
