Job Description:
- The Time & Attendance (T&A) Analyst will be a hand-on role ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance across our US & Puerto Rico Non- Exempt employee population.
- This role will partner closely with several cross functional business units such as HRBPs, IT, Legal, Total Rewards and vendor partner teams and report to the HR Operations Associate Director- US/ PR Payroll Support and Global Supplier Manager.
- The ideal candidate combines payroll and T&A technical expertise with strong customer service and process-improvement skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Process regular payroll runs (biweekly) end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Accurately process and reconcile time, attendance, and payroll data to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and internal controls.
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing reviews on a biweekly schedule, including data gathering, pre-run validation, T&A validation, payroll calculations, approvals, and final disbursements.
- Calculate wages, overtime, retroactive adjustments, deductions, audit T&A time sheets, and final payoffs in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate payroll and time records and documentation to support audits, statutory reporting, and internal control requirements.
- Generate and distribute standard and ad-hoc T&A reports for HR, Finance, and management as required; escalate reporting issues as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for employee T & A payroll inquiries; research and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
- Work closely with HRBP/ Finance/ IT and Benefits teams to validate new hires, terminations, status changes, leaves, and other payroll-related data between Workday/ADP Payroll and T&A systems to ensure timely and accurate pay adjustments.
- Support and manage end to end integration processes and data validations between HRIS/T&A systems and payroll systems; validate data feeds, investigate exceptions, and coordinate corrections.
- Participate in T&A system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements; assist with requirements, testing (including user acceptance testing), and post-deployment support.
- Ensure Controls, audit, and continuous improvement are governed across T&A processes.
- Assist with payroll audits and control testing, document payroll processes, controls, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and T&A processes, reduce errors, and improve system usability; support process improvement initiatives and apply best practices.
- Support payroll- and T&A related projects (e.g., system migrations, policy changes, year-end processes) and provide analytical support for special requests.
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP/EV6, E-Time Workday, UKG, and ServiceNow).
- Execute end-to-end time & attendance and payroll validation activities on a biweekly payroll cycle, including data gathering, pre-run validation, time & attendance (T&A) checks, payroll calculations verification, approvals coordination, and post-run reconciliations.
- Process and reconcile T&A and payroll data (regular pay, overtime, retro adjustments, final payoffs, deductions) to ensure accurate employee pay and compliance with applicable laws, company policy, and internal/ SOX controls.
- Audit timecards and T&A entries for accuracy and policy compliance; investigate and resolve discrepancies with managers, employees, HRBP, and ADP in a timely manner.
- Validate and maintain data integrity across HRIS (Workday), T&A systems, and ADP payroll: review and audit data feeds, investigate exceptions, and coordinate correction workflows.
- Serve as primary internal contact for T&A-related payroll inquiries and escalations: perform research, document findings, and communicate outcomes professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
- Prepare and distribute standard and ad-hoc T&A and payroll reports (e.g., exception reports, hours worked, leave balances, overtime trends) for HR, Finance, and other HR stakeholders.
- Participate in T&A system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements: contribute to requirements definition (including union CBA rules), configuration reviews, testing (including UAT), cutover planning, and post-deployment support.
- Maintain and improve controls, SOPs, runbooks, and evidence retention for audit and SOX compliance; support internal and external payroll audits and control testing.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to reduce errors, minimize off-cycle payments, and improve system usability and manager self-service adoption.
- Support payroll- and T&A-related projects (system migrations, policy changes, year-end activities) and provide analytical support for special requests and ad-hoc investigations.
- Monitor vendor performance and SLA adherence related to time integrations and escalate issues as needed.

Required qualifications:
- 3 years of payroll, time & attendance, or HRIS support experience; hands-on experience with payroll and T&A preferred.
- Audit and controls: Experience supporting payroll audits, SOX controls, or internal control frameworks
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP/EV6, E-Time Workday, , UKG, and ServiceNow).
- MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of payroll and T&A concepts including wage calculations, overtime rules, deductions.
- Compliance and confidentiality: Demonstrated understanding of federal/state/provincial labor laws and best practices for enabling T&A processes.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain T&A and payroll calculations.
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Problem solving: Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve payroll and T&A exceptions and discrepancies.
- Time management: Ability to work to strict payroll deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Advanced technical skills: Advanced Excel skills (macros, Power Query), experience with SQL or data analysis tools, and familiarity with HRIS/payroll integrations/ and E Time.
- Systems experience: Direct experience implementing or supporting major payroll/ T&A system upgrades, integrations, or migrations.
- Audit and controls: Experience supporting payroll audits, SOX controls, or internal control frameworks.
- Analytical skills: Strong ability to produce and interpret payroll analytics and ad-hoc reporting to inform process improvements.
- Stakeholder management: Demonstrated experience collaborating across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Effective problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
