Title: Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12 months
Shift: During the training (first month of assignment) the shift will be M to F from 6am to 2.30pm. After the training and after discussion and confirmation with the manager: M to F from 9am to 5.30pm
Job Description:
- The Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician is responsible for calibrating, testing, and shipping Beckman Echo systems.
- This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Production Team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping
- Provide the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing problems
- Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities
- The essential requirements of the job include:
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in calibration manufacturing position
- MUAT HAVE Associate's degree in a technical field or comparable long-standing work experience (Computer, Life Sciences, Chemistry or similar)
- MUST HAVE effective and analytical problem-solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests
- Proactive profile, asks questions and has initiative
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions and ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- BS degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline
- Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
- Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)
