Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Work Mode: Mineral, VA (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 12 months(possibility of extension)

Pay rate: $56.08/hr. on w2

Job Summary:

High Level Project Overview: Supporting our Nuclear Power Station Fleet as a Business Systems Analyst. Will required interaction and support via remote means with the (5) Nuclear Power Stations and Corporate.

IT Generation team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with strong analytical skills and attention to detail to provide support for our team.

The successful candidate will be assigned requirements gathering/documentation, as-is/to-be analysis, and gap analysis assignments along with new system implementation projects and maintenance support of existing systems.

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent understanding of the BSA skillset and toolset and have a solid understanding of modern computing technologies.

The ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, presentation) with internal business partners, IT personnel, and external service providers is critical to success in this role.

The successful candidate will develop new and innovative processes to automate and reduce workload and add value to IT and our business areas.

Duties include:

• Facilitate and lead requirements workshops for large and/or complex efforts.
• Functionally deconstruct, Analyze, and document our internal business partners’ systems, problems, processes, and needs.
• Define business requirements and test cases using structured methodologies.
• Effectively lead documentation of business requirements, test cases, use cases, and design thinking exercises.
• Provide written and verbal updates on projects and solutions to IT and business management.
• Act as a consultant to our internal business partners regarding technology and process solutions.
• Facilitate finding, developing, and implementing viable technology solutions for our business partners by working with teammates, IT groups within the company, external service providers, and business partners.
• Provide guidance to our internal business partners by knowing what software systems they have in place and determining what those systems may be capable of going forward.
• Interface with internal business partners, IT groups, and external service providers to implement new systems, modify existing systems, and provide system maintenance support.
• Provide application and system support for multiple systems used by our internal business partners.
• Provide support for projects and troubleshooting efforts.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance control execution and evidence gathering

Top Required Skills

1) Power BI Experience

2) IT experience in business systems analysis, in a large-scale environment, across multiple hardware and software platforms, or business unit experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of large-scale systems.

3) Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes for both ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ states.

4) Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for strengthening business processes and systems proactively

5) Ability to work with a divers set of personnel with various expectations and demands.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Solid analytical skills and demonstrated skills in analyzing and solving problems and issues of varying complexity
• Experience and understanding of the utility industry, renewable energy, and/or power generation.

• 2-5 years of direct experience as a Business Systems Analyst:

Required Education:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalency Required
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
