Warehouse / Logistics Manager

Oversee all warehouse operations by leading the team with consistency, grace, and empathy. Provide clear direction and daily mentoring to warehouse staff, ensuring they are fully trained, supported, and empowered to execute inventory management, order pulling, quality control, prep, and de‑prep activities, and the proper storage of all rental equipment. Uphold high operational standards by cultivating a positive, collaborative, and accountable work culture. Coordinate all shipping and receiving processes for both the production and integration departments, maintaining smooth, effective communication across teams. Plan and manage all logistics movements, including scheduling IPS-owned vehicles and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with organizational priorities. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations and is essential in sustaining consistent warehouse processes and reliable logistics execution.

JOB DUTIES: 

• Lead, mentor, and support all warehouse staff to foster a positive, consistent, and collaborative work environment.
• Provide daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing levels, and labor budgeting for warehouse operations.
• Train employees on proper warehouse procedures, safety standards, equipment use, and operational systems.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and high‑quality performance across all roles.
• Oversee all warehouse functions, including inventory management, order pulling, QC, prep, de‑prep, and equipment storage.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in all outgoing and incoming orders and shipments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Develop, refine, and implement warehouse systems, workflows, and SOPs to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
• Coordinate with department heads and team leads to ensure smooth daily operations and effective task delegation.
• Lead the QC team in thorough inspections and equipment readiness.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead cycle counts, and support the creation of short orders and lost/damaged reports.
• Perform inventory control duties to maintain accurate systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Plan, schedule, and manage all logistics movements, including driver assignments and vehicle use.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including driver hour limitations.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving for both production and integration departments.
• Optimize delivery routes, timelines, and transportation resources to ensure timeliness and cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain proactive communication with account managers, project managers, and external partners regarding logistics updates or changes.
• Facilitate effective communication between the warehouse, production, integration, and operations teams.
• Attend production meetings to stay informed on upcoming projects and resource needs.
• Provide timely updates regarding equipment changes, logistical adjustments, or operational challenges.
• Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with OSHA, DOT, and internal safety standards.
• Enforce proper use of heavy machinery and ensure all staff follow safety protocols.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Identify operational challenges and implement proactive, creative solutions.
• Initiate improvements to warehouse processes, workflows, and technologies.
• Support company goals by contributing ideas that enhance efficiency, service, and workplace culture.
• Other duties as assigned.

TRAVEL:

·       Travel to customer sites, venues, job locations, and industry events as needed.

·       Must be available for up to 10 percent travel and work flexible hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Previous experience in live production and warehouse management required.

·       Required skills in leadership & managing teams – coaching them to excellence.

·       Highly analytical and able to troubleshoot issues quickly.

·       Good verbal and written communication & great organizational skills.

·       High level of self-motivation and initiative.

·       Understanding of electronic and mechanical systems; knowledge or prior experience in live production, and crew management.

·       Proficient in customer service and client relationship skills

·       Project management skills, purchasing and budget management, as well as risk management.

·       Skills in promoting process improvement

·       Technical skills; able to withstand physical demands (see below).
