Mandatory Requirements to Apply
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in automation, plant engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley / RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000).
- Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA systems.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management: Proven ability to lead and manage engineering projects.
- Location Requirement: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Jersey City, NJ, or surrounding areas.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Automation & Controls Engineering:
- Develop and optimize control systems for production and packaging operations.
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and support FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA platforms.
- Analyze system performance and implement improvements for operational reliability.
- Maintenance & Operational Support:
- Provide technical expertise to diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment uptime.
- Project Management:
- Manage engineering and automation projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to meet project deadlines.
- Systems, Data, and Technology Integration:
- Utilize SQL for data extraction and trend analysis, supporting system integrations.
- Assist in digital transformation initiatives within the facility.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to food safety, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
- Promote a safe working environment through proactive risk assessments.
