What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Integrated Pain Management Medical Group, Inc.?
We are seeking a part time/temporary Physical Therapist to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat patients in our clinics. Our team consists of physical rehab providers (PTs, PTA, Chiropractors, trainers), Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, and MDs. We use an educationally based treatment model to teach patients transferable skills for managing chronic pain conditions. The physical therapy population is primarily adult orthopedic and chronic pain patients.
*Hours and days are flexible as long as you're able to work during the week between Monday through Friday. We are open to 2-3 days a week and you must be willing to work 5-8 hour days.
What you will do:
- Evaluation and treatment of individual patients.
- Evaluate patients for the FRP / TBI program/ Work Conditioning program
- Create individualized exercise regimen and plan of care to reach established goals.
- Work with patients both individually and in groups alongside other clinicians
- Patient volumes can vary between 4-12 patients based on participants within program
- Deliver pain neuroscience education to individual patients and groups.
- Opportunities to collaborate with the medical and psychology teams while co-treating patients as well as with other physical rehab providers from the same or other sites
Qualifications:
- California Physical Therapy License
- Strong orthopedic assessment skills
- Knowledge of pain neuroscience including the ability to educate patients with chronic pain conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously.
- Working knowledge of myofascial release techniques and manual therapy skills is a plus.
- Experience with EMR documentation preferred but will train.
- Ability to establish rapport with patients, families, professionals, and co-workers.
- Able to work with patients and equipment using sound judgment.
- An attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care.
- We will provide training for new graduates.
Compensation Range:
$70.00 to $85.00 per hour
All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
