What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Integrated Packaging Machinery, LLC?

Summary:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for the building of quality machines for IPM customers. Works from drawings and other documentation to assemble equipment to meet specifications and testing requirements in accordance to schedule.


Responsibilities:

  • Assemble devices including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Test, troubleshoot and inspect assembled products for defects.
  • Read and interpret process documentation, drawings, prints, diagrams, and/or schematics.
  • Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms and checklists for devices.
  • Maintain shop and work area cleanliness.
  • Partner with engineering team for support, troubleshooting and fabrication of various custom parts.
  • Tear down assembled equipment and prepare for shipping to client locations.
  • Accurately catalog parts/equipment in each skid according to company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly or maintenance work.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Construction experience or trade school service preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of equipment; Hand tools, hand power tools, computer, fork truck
  • Ability to read blueprints, edrawings

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Professional Certifications:

  • None required

Physical Requirements:

  • Steel toe shoes and safety glasses are required.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move 50 pounds.
  • Bending, lifting, twisting, crawling for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures such as coolers.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25%
