Pay:

$100,000 -$140,000

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • On-Call

Experience Level:

  • 8 years in a consulting, engineering, business development, or account management enviroment.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or Advanced degree in Engineering.
  • Previous working knowledge in the Heavy Industrial Automation, preferred.

Position Overview:

Regional Field Service Director will drive growth in the heavy industry sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multi-unit, regional business development and/or sales, with a deep understanding of the market to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the metals industry. This position will play a significant role in business generation for the entire IMS/SMS portfolio for service, relevant to the Heavy Industry market. They will work closely with IMS and SMS Sales in the target markets on technical, contractual, and commerical opportunities.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for driving sales and revenue for the Service Group
  • Developing, monitoring, and tracking KPIs regularly to evaluate the performance of territory and customers
  • Conduct thorough account research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the Heavy Industrial sector and provide feedback and information to Sales Leadership.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple technical experts across all IMS/SMS divisions to provide technical support to named accounts. Collaborate with other IMS and SMS field resources to leverage the power of the entire IMS/SMS portfolio
  • Build, maintain, and drive strong, long-lasting client relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service with plant managers, maintenance managers, asset managers, etc.
  • Coordinate business opportunities / projects across all internal sales channels and to ensure the successful execution of services.
  • Responsible for lead generation activities.
  • Conduct thorough account research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the Heavy Industrial Service sector.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions in the CRM system, covering direct and indirect business for the target industries.
  • Coordinating customer support hand in hand with other departments’ logistics, product management, offer management, and marketing
  • Responsible for Contract Management including discussing, negotiating, and tracking such agreements
  • Coordinate with IMS/SMS marketing teams on service-related marketing strategies for print, social media, and/or trade shows.
  • Assist with driving operational growth of the service department within other IMS/SMS offices and territories.
  • Utilize and maintain expertise in the Resource Management and Project Management tools as well as the ERP system.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the Heavy Industrial Market, including market dynamics, key contacts, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills to engage with senior leaders.
  • Proven success in operating with multiple channels to market, including direct sales, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrixed resources to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to take measured risks and act with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence.
  • Ability to work in both domestic and international (virtual) teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
