Salary Range: 21.42 To 25.74 (USD) Hourly
SUMMARYThe Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing basic front and back office duties.REQUIREMENTSRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Perform support functions as needed. This may include but is not limited to scheduling patients’ blood transfusions, entering patient data intoregistration system, greeting patients, escorting patients to exam room, assisting patients and/or families in completing appropriate paperwork.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and reconcile daily cash report
• Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications.
• Administer and assist with minor procedures and injections, bone marrow, blood draw, as needed.
• Take and document vital signs. This may include, but is not limited to patient’s height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and bloodpressure manually but not limited to use of device.
• Prepare specimens for transportation to laboratory.
• Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.
• Assist with inventory organization and stocking of exam rooms and labs.
• Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained while performing job responsibilities including but notlimited to, financial and client information.
• Performs other duties as assignedEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years medical office experience
• Medical Assistant experience preferredSKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
