Salary Range: 25 To 37 (USD) Hourly
SUMMARYThe Facilities Maintenance Technician I is responsible for constructing, repairing, painting, and maintaining structures, furniture, and finishes across all KPC Health hospital campuses. This position supports a wide range of carpentry and general maintenance activities, ensuring high standards of safety and functionality.Key ResponsibilitiesConstruct and repair furniture, cabinetry, doors, walls, and hospital room finishes using hand and power tools.Maintain and repair wooden structures, including counters, partitions, stairs, and window/door frames.Perform general painting, surface preparation, and finish work as needed.Operate woodworking and finishing equipment including saws, joiners, and lathes.Follow safety protocols and building codes while completing assignments.Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory, and material requisitions.Work collaboratively with facilities teams at all hospital locations.Travel to KPC hospitals as required.Others duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum 5 years general maintenance experience; healthcare experience preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.Valid CA Driver’s License; reliable transportation.
