The Coordinator, Logistics Operations ensures the timely processing of domestic and international shipments through research, troubleshooting and communication with carriers and other related parties. This position serves as a resource to other groups within IDT on international shipping, cold chain shipping, packaging tracking and other logistics related subjects.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Logistics, is part of the Logistics department located in Coralville, IA and work is performed on-site. Schedule: Weekday days.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Complete daily tracking reports and works with internal and external logistics partners, carriers, customers, and other IDT departments to resolve problems with domestic and international packages (both import and export) shipped from various manufacturing sites. Initiate investigation, identifies root cause, and implements countermeasures of logistics issues.
• Monitor all US inbound/outbound shipments and provide assistance & required documentation for customs clearance. Communicate with various carriers and US government agencies for expedited clearance. Engage with brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers and share updates with relevant teams. Monitors daily cold chain shipments and mitigate delays. Identify issues & delays of shipments and engage with carriers for problem solving.
• Assist IDT’s trade compliance in reviewing and enhancing current workflow. Performs daily and ad-hoc customer screens in Visual Compliance Screening and helps to maintain an efficient and accurate screening process. Engage with the Trade Compliance Manager regarding acquiring required documents and submission to the relevant teams.
  
  

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working in a shipping, export control/compliance, order tracking or planning/expediting position including the use of related software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related programs and resources.
• Excellent customer service skills. Ability to learn new tasks and processes efficiently and effectively.
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Previous coursework or seminar attendance in export compliance, logistics, cold chain shipping or other applicable subjects.
• Previous use of ERP/SAP system or shipping software.
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain industry

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
