Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing practice in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Type
Independent Contractor Minimum 2 days per week, 7 hours per day (10 hours / week) Flexible scheduling available
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions, including substance use disorders
- Prescribe and manage Suboxone (buprenorphine) for medication-assisted treatment
- Provide medication management and monitoring for psychiatric and MAT patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans for dual diagnosis patients
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Pennsylvania Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification (PMHNP-BC) by ANCC or AANP
- Valid DEA license (DEA-X waiver or experience prescribing buprenorphine)
- Experience with Suboxone (buprenorphine) prescribing and medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP, or PhD)
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor
Preferred:
- Experience treating substance use disorders
- Experience with dual diagnosis patients
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction medicine
- Experience with CBH or Medicaid / medicare populations

Schedule
Minimum 2 days per week, 5 hours per day (flexible days and times can be discussed) Opportunity to increase hours as practice expands
