Position Overview

The Qualified Professional (QP) is responsible for providing clinical oversight, case management supervision, treatment planning support, and service coordination for individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder services through Integrated Care for Greater Health (ICGH).

The QP ensures services are delivered in accordance with North Carolina service definitions, Medicaid requirements, CARF standards, agency policies, and best practices in behavioral health and recovery-oriented systems of care. The QP works collaboratively with clinical staff, peer support specialists, nursing staff, community partners, and leadership to promote positive outcomes and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Oversight & Service Coordination

Provide oversight of behavioral health and substance use disorder services.

Review and approve Person-Centered Plans (PCPs), treatment plans, and service documentation as required.

Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with Medicaid and state requirements.

Coordinate care among treatment providers, community partners, and support systems.

Assist in crisis intervention and service coordination as needed.

  • Person-Centered Planning

Develop, review, and monitor Person-Centered Plans.

Ensure services are individualized and goal-driven.

Monitor participant progress toward treatment goals.

Coordinate treatment team meetings when appropriate.

Support discharge planning and transition services.

  • Documentation & Compliance

Ensure documentation meets state, federal, and payer requirements.

Conduct chart reviews and audits.

Monitor timeliness and quality of clinical documentation.

Provide corrective guidance and training when deficiencies are identified.

Maintain compliance with CARF accreditation standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Staff Support & Supervision

Provide supervision and guidance to Associate Professionals (APs), Paraprofessionals, Peer Support Specialists, and other assigned staff.

Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.

Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and education.

Monitor staff productivity and service quality.

Assist leadership with performance improvement initiatives.

Maintain schedules and assist with on-call

  • Client Advocacy & Resource Coordination

Advocate for participants' access to services and resources.

Assist with housing, employment, healthcare, legal, and recovery support referrals.

Coordinate services with community agencies and healthcare providers.

Support participant engagement and retention in treatment.

Promote recovery-oriented and person-centered care.

  • Community Collaboration

Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.

Participate in treatment court meetings, care coordination meetings, and community collaborations.

Represent ICGH at professional meetings and events when assigned.

Promote awareness of ICGH services throughout the communities served.

  • Quality Improvement & CARF Compliance

Support CARF accreditation activities and survey readiness.

Participate in quality assurance reviews and corrective action planning.

Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Monitor program outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Support continuous quality improvement efforts across service lines.

  • Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care

Promote recovery-focused, trauma-informed services.

Support participant choice, empowerment, and self-direction.

Encourage collaboration among treatment providers, peers, families, and community supports.

Maintain a strengths-based approach in all service delivery.

Promote dignity, respect, and hope for all individuals served.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) requirements.

Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience working with the population served.

Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorders, recovery-oriented systems of care, and person-centered planning.

Knowledge of Medicaid and state service definitions.

Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to travel between ICGH locations as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel between sites.

Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Ability to attend meetings, trainings, and community events as required.

Requirements:
