Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Ag Customer Support Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for our agricultural clients, providing exceptional support and solutions that help them thrive. Your energetic approach, combined with your excellent communication skills, will ensure that every customer interaction is positive, productive, and memorable. Under general direction of Accounting Manager, this position manages all aspects of the front office and product ordering relationships between IAP, ag chemical and fertilizer suppliers and owners. This position requires a person with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and self-starting nature with a focus on customer care. The position’s primary purpose is data entry to take and place orders in a timely manner. Strong relationships with IAP owners and suppliers insuring seamless transactions for products is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Front line customer contact in person and on the phone.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries across multiple channels including phone, email, and chat.
- Provide customer follow up on all issues, i.e. delivery status, returns, back order inquiries and any other issue that may arise.
- Process all orders in the accounting system including, receiving product, billing customers and processing invoices from suppliers for payment
- Maintain contact information for suppliers for customer service team
- Provide clerical and administrative support as requested.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer support or client services is advantageous. 3 years of related agricultural customer service experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems. Experience in Sage Software helpful but not required
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly phone manner and active listening capabilities.
- Knowledge of agriculture-related products or services is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Basic Math Skills
- Ability to work well in a small team.
- Detail oriented with good organization skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary as well as a strong ability to work through challenges and resolve issues.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Minimum requirement - High School diploma/GED.
- US citizen or lawful permanent citizenMust be willing to work from the IAP office
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
