What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Accountant position at Integrated Accounting Solutions?
Integrated Accounting Solutions, LLC is a growing CPA firm in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania providing tax, accounting, and advisory services to individuals, business owners, and privately held companies.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who can take ownership of tax engagements, prepare technically accurate returns, communicate effectively with clients and the team, and help us continue building a better tax practice.
This is a full-time, on-site position in our Newtown Square office.

- Handle more complex tax returns and workpapers with limited supervision.
- Review selected returns and workpapers prepared by other team members based on experience and assignment.
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and assist with year-round tax planning.
- Assist with tax notices, amended returns, prior-year matters, and tax research.
- Identify tax planning opportunities, inconsistencies, missing information, and potential issues before work reaches final review.
- Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve tax questions.
- Work closely with managers, our Director of Tax Services, and the Managing Principal on complex engagements.
- Maintain accurate engagement status, notes, documentation, and deadlines within Karbon.
- Use Lacerte and related tax technology as part of our tax preparation workflow.
- Support the continued improvement and standardization of the firm's tax processes.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to technically accurate work.
- Comfortable working in a technology-driven CPA firm and learning new systems.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience reviewing tax returns prepared by staff accountants.
- Experience with Lacerte or another major professional tax preparation platform.
- Experience with Karbon or another workflow/practice management platform.
- QuickBooks Online experience.
- Experience with tax planning, projections, and IRS or state tax notices.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a data-entry-only tax preparation position and it is not a sales role. We want someone who understands the return, understands the client, identifies issues, asks good questions, and wants to continue developing technically and professionally.
About Integrated Accounting Solutions
IAS provides Tax Preparation, Tax Advisory, Bookkeeping, Controller Services, and Fractional CFO services. Our goal is to give clients a coordinated accounting and tax relationship rather than treating each service as a separate transaction.
We are continuing to invest in our people, processes, and technology as the firm grows. For the right person, this position offers meaningful client exposure, increasing responsibility, and the opportunity to grow beyond tax preparation into review, planning, and advisory work.
Public accounting has real deadlines and busy periods, and this position will require additional hours during tax filing seasons. In return, we work to build clear processes, defined responsibilities, modern systems, and a team structure that makes those deadlines manageable.
Compensation
$80,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience, technical ability, credentials, and level of responsibility.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
