Position Summary:
Integrated Accounting and Business Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced manager to lead our accounting and audit engagements for small-to-medium businesses, nonprofits, and individual clients. This role involves managing full-cycle audits, preparing financial reports in compliance with GAAP and IFRS, leading tax research and planning, and supervising a team of finance professionals.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proven leadership experience, and a track record of building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead accounting, audit, and tax engagements for small to medium-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individual clients across multiple states, including New York, while working remotely from the Richmond, Virginia office.
- Manage all phases of audit projects, encompassing planning, conducting fieldwork, preparing financial reports, and providing recommendations for financial statement improvements.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Conduct detailed tax research and analysis to advise clients on tax planning and tax-saving opportunities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Review and approve nonprofit organizations, corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, sign off as the tax preparer, and e-file them.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting, audit, and tax professionals, providing guidance on career development.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and addressing their accounting, audit, and tax needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: A minimum U.S. bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting, audit, or tax roles (or 5 years of experience with a Masters degree in Accounting) with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Certifications: New York CPA license (required to serve New York clients remotely), IRS PTIN (required to sign off as tax return preparer), and Certification in IFRS (Cert IFR required for clients with IFRS reporting needs).
